Galloway MRF at Seven Hills, NSW was opend by the honourable Dianne Beamer MP 19th October 2006
Post Collection – Galloway Environmental Waste Management is a licensed facility in Metropolitan Sydney with the ability to conduct a post collection segregation of Commercial Office Waste in garbage bags. The Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) is an automated recycling plant with the ability to open bags prior to the waste segregation beginning.
Galloway EWM have undertaken a major investment in infrastructure which ensures Galloway EWM can support our commitment to Resource Recovery and reducing recycling waste being placed in Landfill.
The MRF was commissioned in October 2006. Galloway EWM continue to develop our procedures to ensure we maximise our recycling diversion percentages.
The Department of Environment and Conservation (NSW) has applied massive increases in the Environmental Protection Levy with significant increases per tonne / per year planned over a 5 year period to encourage businesses to think about and reduce their waste and increase their commitment to resource recovery. A minimum continued increase percentage rate of over 20% is envisaged every year.
Galloway EWM has surpassed all NSW Government requirements regarding waste minimisation in the past and with these further government changes aimed at forcing companies to look at alternate resource recovery options, Galloway EWM can guarantee that by choosing our waste management solutions and recycling programs your business will also be fully committed to the latest NSW Government initiatives.
The added benefit is that the savings from this will be compounded over the future years as a high percentage of your waste will be diverted from landfill.
Galloway EWM is committed to this program of resource recovery of all types of recycling material and will be the Waste Industry Leader in Resource Recovery.
Galloway EWM is diverting up to 90% from landfill of existing generated waste through resource recovery recycling programs.
